Our Approach

We are here to help you realize that you are not broken.

That feeling shitty every day is not normal. That the alarm systems called depression and anxiety are not always chemical imbalances in your brain like you’ve been lead to believe, but your bodies way of letting you know that something isn’t right.

We believe…

We believe in a humanist approach.

One that strives to depathologize the human condition. We believe you are a whole person, and you are made up of every experience and relationship you’ve encountered. You’re not a diagnostic label.

We get liberation psychology. We understand systemic trauma. We don’t gaslight people into “self-care” without also acknowledging the systems you exist in. We work with people who are ready to heal in a way that still honors their fight.

Our Approach

At Psychsomatica, we’re not just about clearing the surface-level clutter—we’re here to help you break free on a soul-deep level. True freedom comes when we release the chains of past trauma, inherited pain, and the cultural conditioning that keeps us small. We’ll walk with you as you shed the stories and beliefs that no longer serve you, uncovering the raw, untamed essence of who you are. This is about soul liberation—the kind that flows through every part of you, unlocking joy, purpose, and a life lived unapologetically. Because when you’re free in your spirit and step fully into your truth, the rest of your life falls into alignment.

Who we work with

Psychsomatica provides trauma-informed therapy, somatic therapy, and holistic mental health counseling for adults and teens seeking deeper, lasting change.

We work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship challenges, grief and loss, burnout, ADHD, OCD, identity exploration, major life transitions, and chronic stress. We also support therapists, entrepreneurs, creatives, caregivers, professionals, and people who have spent years understanding themselves intellectually but are ready for healing that goes deeper.

Our integrative approach combines somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, IFS and parts work, EMDR, depth and Jungian psychology, attachment work, and trauma-informed psychotherapy. Rather than focusing only on symptom management, we help clients understand the patterns beneath their symptoms and create meaningful change in their relationships, bodies, identities, and lives.

Psychsomatica is an LGBTQIA+ affirming and inclusive therapy practice welcoming people across identities and backgrounds. We specialize in care that honors the whole person—mind, body, relationships, culture, and lived experience.

We offer online therapy and virtual mental health counseling in Illinois and Colorado, with therapeutic coaching available for clients seeking an alternative to traditional therapy.

We work best with clients who are ready and willing to commit to making serious changes in their lives in order to get to where they want to be.

We take a holistic, integrative approach, one that focuses on and includes the following:

Emotional Health / Relationships / Nutrition / Body + Movement / Purpose / Mindset + Practice / Community / Ceremony / Creativity / Nature / Spirit / Sleep / Love / Geography / Generational Trauma

Our job at PsychSomatica is to help you figure out what gets in the way of making necessary changes and how to move forward in a way that leaves you feeling healthy, whole and connected.
